Business Development Manager - IT Infrastructure

A leading technology infrastructure business is looking to add to their sales team due to their exciting growth plans and are currently looking for a driven, commercially focused Business Development Manager. The company designs, delivers and supports the physical technology infrastructure that enables large, complex and mission-critical environments to operate. Its work includes structured cabling, connectivity, network infrastructure, data centers, and workplace technology. This is a genuine hunter role.

Responsibilities

Identifying opportunities; Opening doors; Building senior relationships; Winning complex projects; Retaining ownership of accounts and developing them over time; Targeting organisations including data-centre operators, systems integrators, cloud and AI providers, enterprise businesses and major project partners

Requirements

Proven track record in new-business sales; Background in IT; Drive and resilience to create opportunities rather than wait for leads; Confidence engaging senior commercial and technical stakeholders; Experience of consultative, project-led sales and longer sales cycles; Proactive, commercially sharp approach and genuine appetite to win; Strong IT-sector sales experience; New-business capability; Ability to build a high-value pipeline from scratch

Nice to have

Data center, infrastructure, networking, cabling, connectivity, systems integration experience; Experience selling IT infrastructure, connectivity, networking, cabling, managed services or technology solutions through a reseller, systems integrator, data-center, cloud or managed-service environment
