Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgery Nocturnist APP - Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Charlotte, is currently seeking a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Charlotte, NC. You'll be joining a great team atmosphere with opportunities for autonomy. Our surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. Our busy practice provides plenty of opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally location.

Responsibilities

Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and consultation in collaboration with a supervising physician; Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served; Works with a variety of MDs, APPs and ancillary staff for inpatient management and coordination of patient care; Performs procedures including bedside talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, and wound vac placements

Requirements

Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program; Maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina; Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license; BLS/ACLS Certified; Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA; Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification; Ability to work independently and efficiently with strong decision-making skills; Strong communication skills

Nice to have

Experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic or vascular surgery
