Cardiovascular Laboratory Technician - PRN Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin

Responsibilities

Plans, provides, and documents services for Cardiovascular Lab patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures; Operates, monitors, records, evaluates, and maintains patient information; Meets challenges of case volumes and patient care issues to ensure optimal care and outcomes; Ensures quality and accuracy of reported data, reports variances and critical findings to physician; Operates, inspects, troubleshoots and performs routine maintenance for variety of lab equipment; Performs daily room QCs and prepares lab room and equipment for daily use and each procedure; Documents, retrieves and verifies data necessary for patient records; Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies; Participates in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities; Adheres to standards including unit and Navicent Health policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals

Requirements

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the ability to sit for certification within 90 days of hire; High School Diploma or GED; Two years or more experience as a Cardiovascular Specialist
