Care Associate/PSS - Memory Care

Senior Lifestyle is seeking individuals who embrace its HEART mission (Hospitality, Excellence, Appreciation, Respect & Teamwork) to brighten and enrich the lives of those served. The role involves providing assistance to Memory Care Program residents with activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. All shifts are available (6:30am-3pm, 2:30pm-11pm, 10:30pm-7am).

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with activities of daily living; Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents; Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions so residents are as independent as possible in bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility; Participate in and lead one on one and group activities; Serve residents during mealtime; Assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood; Ensure resident, family and employee concerns receive timely response and follow up; Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers

Requirements

Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond to emergency situations; May need a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state; Basic computer skills; Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required; Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful; Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers

Nice to have

Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities
