Care Strategy & Operations (Lead / Director)

Sailor Health is building a virtual care model for older adults that combines behavioral health, healthcare advocacy, wellness classes, and AI care agents. The role owns the care model behind therapy and healthcare advocacy services, scales therapy operations nationally, grows healthcare advocacy into a national service line, and launches new services. The role partners with Clinical Director Dr. Daniel Burow and reports directly to the founders. The role is fast-paced, chaotic, and requires hard work.

Responsibilities

Build the care model across therapy, advocacy, and case management, partnering with clinical, operations, legal, and engineering teams; Scale new service lines, turning healthcare advocacy into a repeatable national operation with workflows, playbooks, and metrics; Shape how AI copilots support clinicians by taking administrative work off their plates; Lead case management and escalations, manage and grow the case management team, and build triage and escalation protocols for high acuity cases; Power whole person care by building an integrated model that unites clinicians and care teams; Measure quality and safety by tracking metrics tied to patient outcomes and ensuring compliance with clinical, privacy, and Medicare standards; Scale therapy operations across a national footprint; Build and lead the team around case managers, who will report to this role

Requirements

4-15 years of experience (ideally in clinical operations); Experience building and scaling care delivery at a high growth healthcare company; Player-coach who leads with clarity and warmth and is willing to work tough cases personally; Strong communicator who builds trust with clinicians, engineers, lawyers, and founders; Thrives in ambiguity and brings structure to new, messy situations; Thinks from first principles and makes balanced, defensible decisions; Takes work personally and cares deeply about older adults
