Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (project length can range from two hours to two days); Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience and following the Mr. Handyman Way; Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys and achieving high response and satisfaction rates; Meeting revenue targets by finding additional ways to be of service; Invoicing appropriately, sourcing needed materials, and collecting payment from the customer; Ensuring work is done correctly the first time because all work is guaranteed for one year

Requirements

Live within the area; Have 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; Own your own tools; Be insurable for driving our vehicle; Complete a background and driving record check; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting inside and out, drywall work (minor and major repairs), general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing, familiarity with building codes; Self-manage and comfortable working alone often; Speak with customers and provide excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; Have the necessary tools, including the ability to use technology; Document the job while following our process, the Mr. Handyman Way; Wear proper PPE as well as booties to protect customer’s home
