Catering Assistant

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team in Cork, Ireland. In this role, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional food service experiences while supporting our catering operations. You'll work alongside a collaborative team to ensure every guest receives outstanding service and attention, contributing to the smooth execution of events and dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring their needs and requests are addressed promptly and effectively; Provide exceptional customer service by remaining attentive to guests' requirements throughout their experience, answering questions, and resolving concerns with empathy and care; Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient operations and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive working environment; Maintain rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations and food service guidelines; Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation while following established procedures and quality standards; Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when responding to challenges, approaching situations with a solution-oriented mindset; Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring organized and efficient execution

Requirements

Genuine passion for food service and/or delivering outstanding customer experiences; Strong collaborative spirit with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach; Demonstrated ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a positive, solution-oriented perspective; Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to obtain this knowledge; Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and enthusiasm; Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail; Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining professional standards; Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently under pressure

Nice to have

Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not required
