Children's Ambassador, .5 FTE (20hrs/wk), 2nd Shift

Children’s Ambassador – Be the First Smile Families See. At Children’s, every visitor’s journey begins with you. As a Children’s Ambassador, you’ll be the welcoming face that sets the tone for a safe, supportive, and uplifting experience. This is more than a role—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on children, families, and our community.

Responsibilities

Actively greet visitors with kindness, compassion, and understanding; Badge and screen guests according to visitation guidelines; Help families navigate the facility; Determine destinations and transportation needs; Provide internal patient transport; Stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management; Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups, from neonatal to adult; Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills; Confidence and composure in stressful situations, with the ability to diffuse negativity; Critical thinking skills to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire; On-call shift required approximately once every two weeks; Weekend availability every other weekend; Participation in a holiday rotation
