Chilled Production Team Leader - 4‑Day Week

We're now recruiting a Chilled Production Team Leader to oversee our chilled operations across a 4-day working week. Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support a chilled production team to deliver daily targets; Foster a positive, engaging, and productive work environment; Provide coaching, on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing team members; Oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand; Ensure all chilled products meet quality, specification, and presentation standards; Monitor line performance and adjust staffing or workflow to maximise efficiency; Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures; Support quality assurance protocols and reinforce best practice across the shift; Escalate issues promptly and help build a culture of safety and accountability; Use production data to identify areas for improvement; Implement simple process enhancements that improve efficiency or product quality; Act as the communication link between management and the production floor

Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a production or manufacturing environment; Understanding of chilled production processes and familiarity with quality control and safety protocols; Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a diverse team and foster collaboration; Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for improving operational methods; Effective communication skills to build rapport and maintain team engagement; A flexible and adaptable mindset, ready to embrace the challenges of a busy production environment

Nice to have

Experience as a Team Leader, Line Leader, Production Supervisor, or similar in food manufacturing; Experience leading teams within FMCG, chilled environments, or high-volume manufacturing; Flexibility to work a 4-day week including weekends
