City Delivery Dispatcher

To coordinate and oversee city route schedule, functions, and delivery specialists of "hub" store to "spoke" stores.

Responsibilities

Serve as contact person for city delivery service; Receive orders from stores via phone or invoice, ensure parts are pulled and ready for delivery by scheduled time; Ensure accuracy of each order pulled prior to city delivery specialist picking up order for delivery; Maintain organized, clean city delivery area divided into areas/bins for each spoke store; Ensure hub delivery specialists are running on schedule and/or communicate any delays to stores remaining on route; Continually monitor hub system and routes for ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or reduce expenses; Make sure all team members assigned to hub are clocking in and out according to company policy; Research any parts not delivered as scheduled and make any necessary billing adjustments; Work with store manager to ensure route is covered in the absence of regular city delivery specialist; Work with store manager and delivery specialist to ensure vehicles are well maintained and inspections are completed thoroughly and accurately; Ensure daily mileage is logged into asset management for all vehicles; Provide input to store manager with regard to delivery specialists’ performance in preparation for performance evaluations

Requirements

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; Good interpersonal communication skills

Nice to have

Familiar with automotive parts; Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
