CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, and edit CNC programs for Swiss machines.; Use shop packages including manufacturing orders, routings, and blueprints to perform setups.; Install and secure tooling; set and adjust speeds and feed rates.; Operate CNC machines and monitor production to ensure quality and efficiency.; Inspect first-run and in-process parts to ensure compliance with specifications.; Perform and document in-process inspections and quality checks.; Replace worn tools and ensure gauges and instruments are within calibration.; Support multiple machine operations simultaneously as required.; Complete production documentation accurately and on time.; Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.; Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.; Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of CNC machining/setup experience; High school diploma or GED required; Knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes; Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions; Strong math skills (including fractions and decimals); Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges); Basic computer skills; Strong attention to detail, safety, and teamwork.
