Commercial Finance Business Partner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Commercial Finance Business Partner to join a fast-paced, customer-focused organisation. This role will play a key part in partnering with senior operational leaders, providing commercial insight and financial support to drive performance across the business. Working closely with a range of non-finance stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, challenging business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust planning, reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary finance business partner to senior operational stakeholders, providing commercial support and constructive challenge; Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and operational efficiency; Take ownership of monthly management reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial information is delivered to the leadership team; Lead the budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business; Monitor gross margin and profitability, providing recommendations to optimise commercial performance; Produce meaningful financial models, business cases and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions; Drive improvements across reporting, financial processes and controls, helping to increase efficiency and data quality; Support wider finance projects and contribute to the continuous development of commercial finance capabilities across the organisation

Requirements

Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA; Demonstrable experience operating within a commercially focused finance business partnering role; Strong understanding of P&L performance, margin analysis and the commercial drivers behind business profitability; Proven ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with senior operational stakeholders; Experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes within a dynamic business environment; Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets and present complex financial information in a clear, concise manner; Naturally proactive with a continuous improvement mindset and a track record of enhancing reporting, processes and decision-making
