Consultant Histopathologist, Dermatopathology

Role Purpose: This post is an opportunity to join an expanding dynamic histopathology service.

Responsibilities

Maintain throughout the hospital, awareness of the primacy of the patient in relation to all of the Hospital’s activities; Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the Values of the Hospital; Promote open communications throughout the hospital; Work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the hospital CEO; Possess the necessary skill-mix to address current deficiencies; Provide clinical leadership in MDT context; Deliver high-quality diagnostic histopathology services; Lead and/or support quality assurance, audits, and INAB accreditation efforts; Engage in continuous service improvement; Work collaboratively with hospital management and clinical leads

Requirements

Expertise in Dermatopathology is essential; Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in Histopathology; Strong communication and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary environment; Experience in clinical governance, laboratory accreditation (ISO 15189), and quality improvement; Valid work permission for the Republic of Ireland or eligibility for a work permit
