Contingent Workforce Manager

Fluidstack exists to make humanity more free. The company is singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. It acquires power, designs and builds data centers, and operates them, with teams spanning hardware and software. The People team keeps Fluidstack staffed and compliant as the company scales fast across sites and functions, including the people it employs directly and the contractors and vendors who extend its workforce day to day.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day management of Fluidstack's contractor and extended workforce program, from intake through offboarding; Manage vendor and staffing supplier relationships, holding partners accountable for service quality and responsiveness; Build and maintain compliant processes for worker classification, onboarding, access, and data protection; Advise hiring managers and stakeholders on workforce solutions, weighing cost, speed, compliance, and risk; Improve the systems and workflows behind the program, including vendor management tooling, reporting, and documentation; Partner with Legal, Finance, and IT to resolve escalations and keep the program's controls current as it scales

Requirements

4+ years of experience in contingent workforce, extended workforce, procurement operations, or HR operations; Hands-on experience with a Vendor Management System (VMS) or similar contractor-management tooling; Working knowledge of worker classification, co-employment, and the compliance considerations behind contractor programs; Experience partnering across Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve workforce issues; A strong operator who solves problems directly and builds solutions rather than waiting on vendors to do it; Comfortable operating with ambiguity and moving with urgency in a fast-changing business
