COOK - FULL TIME - WETHERILL PARK

We are seeking a talented and passionate Full-Time Cook to join our culinary team in Wetherill Park, Australia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to an efficient and positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer orders; Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness; Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, adhering to all health and safety regulations; Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation; Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends; Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues promptly; Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge; Provide excellent customer service by addressing special requests and dietary concerns

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen setting; Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred; Current food safety and hygiene certification; Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Ability to work effectively in a team environment; Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds; Creativity and passion for food presentation and flavor combinations; Familiarity with various dietary restrictions and food allergens; Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed; Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
