Corporate Lawyer

An established and growing regional law firm is seeking to appoint a corporate Lawyer to join their team. These appointments form part of the firm’s continued expansion of its Business Team, which advises across commercial, corporate and employment matters. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team with a strong reputation for advising owner-managed businesses, corporates and entrepreneurs on high-quality transactional and advisory work. Successful candidates will advise on a broad range of corporate matters across sectors including technology, IT and life sciences.

Responsibilities

Advising on a broad range of corporate matters across sectors including technology, IT and life sciences; Mergers and acquisitions (buy and sell side); Management buyouts and founder exits; Shareholders’ agreements and joint ventures; Early-stage through to private equity investment; Group restructures and reorganisations; Corporate governance and partnership arrangements; Managing own matters appropriate to level of experience; Supporting senior colleagues on complex transactions; Supervising delegated work where relevant; Contributing to business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships

Requirements

Corporate/M&A/Commercial specialisation; Experience Level: Newly Qualified, Junior Level (1-3 years), Mid Level (2-5 years); PQE: Newly Qualified, 1-3 years, 4-6 years; Strong technical grounding in corporate transactions; Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness; The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; Confidence in client-facing situations; Sound analytical, negotiation and drafting skills; Exposure to M&A (commensurate with level)
