Custodian Manager

Responsible for the management of the custodial services operations. Ensures that designated areas are kept in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition. Manage all aspects of the department to ensure that business, departmental, and budget goals are met.

Responsibilities

Handle personnel-related matters including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, counseling, and discharging staff.; Establish department guidelines, rules and regulations and training programs.; Coordinate scheduling and assign employees in alignment with business needs.; Handle customer complaints and concerns.; Prepare and distribute assignments.; Inspect and approve cleaning of all assigned areas, review status of assignments and follow-up as needed.; Check all cleaning aids and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working order and are in compliance with safety standards.; Other duties as assigned by management.; Educate team members on safety programs, i.e. team member awareness on safety, prevention and emergency procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.; Three (3) years of experience in housekeeping management and Executive Housekeeper Certification preferred.; Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.; Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.; Other physical requirements include but are not limited to bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, pushing, and pulling.; May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including but not limited to excessive noise and second-hand smoke.; Must be able to operate and demonstrate the proper use of all equipment.; Must have general computer skills.; Must have strong organizational and communication skills.; Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.; Must be able to provide team member direction with emergency procedures.
