Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility to support daily manufacturing operations. This role ensures work areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces meet Adalet’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and compliance. The Custodian plays a key part in creating a positive work environment by supporting facility upkeep, waste removal, and basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, and common spaces; Perform routine sweeping, mopping, dusting, and surface sanitizing; Empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper disposal; Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials; Clean and maintain cafeteria and locker room areas; Support floor care needs including scrubbing, buffing, deep cleaning and spill cleanup; Assist with basic facility upkeep such as replacing light bulbs and reporting maintenance needs; Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling guidelines; Collaborate with Facilities, Safety, and Operations teams to support special cleaning projects or seasonal needs; Maintain cleaning equipment and report issues promptly; Assist Maintenance staff with facility projects

Requirements

Comfortable working on feet for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks; Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety; Ability to work independently and manage time effectively; Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established cleaning schedules; Understanding of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical use; Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and safe handling of cleaning agents; Ability to follow a cleaning schedule, prioritize tasks, and complete work with minimal supervision; Strong ability to maintain cleanliness standards across production, office, and common areas; Basic skill in using floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools; Ability to communicate needs, report maintenance issues, and collaborate with Facilities and Operations teams; Ability to identify cleanliness or safety concerns and take appropriate action or escalate

Nice to have

Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience preferred, especially in an industrial or manufacturing environment
