Customer Experience Associate

Customer-facing front end role at a Weis Markets store in Lusby, MD, responsible for customer service, checkout operations, cash handling, and department sanitation.

Responsibilities

Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve concerns promptly and professionally; Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register, performs checkout procedures including bagging merchandise; Maintains accuracy during transactions, collects cash, checks, electronic payments and coupons, and follows cash drawer accounting procedures; Follows store and legal guidelines regarding sale of tobacco and alcohol; Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions and store layout; Maintains general sanitation of the department and follows cleaning schedules and health and OSHA requirements; Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations; Uses company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); May be asked to assist in other departments

Requirements

Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); No prior experience required; Able to perform each essential duty with or without accommodation
