Customer Relations Officer (Easy Buying)

Reporting to the Customer Relations Team Leader, this Associate role ensures a positive and joyful shopping experience for all IKEA visitors and customers.

Responsibilities

Ensure customers have a memorable shopping experience in the store for a win-win situation and for repeat business; Handle and resolve customer difficulties, particularly in IKEA products assembly, and exchange component parts when needed to offer solutions to frequently asked questions; Develop strong knowledge of all items to effectively handle enquiries of customers positively and quickly, and resolve issues within level of authorization; Escalate higher issues with relevant information to a manager; Ensure the IKEA store is a safe and secure environment at all times for visitors and colleagues; Understand the IKEA Concept, global solutions, tools and working methods and ensure use of appropriate manuals from Inter IKEA Systems to optimise customers’ shopping experience

Requirements

Experience working in a customer-service role and a fast-paced retail environment; Strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to build rapport with customers; Strong team player who values togetherness; Committed to your role with a strong customer service focused mindset; Able to remain calm and controlled and provide solutions when faced with customers in stressful situations; Able to handle stress and work in an extremely face-paced environment; Computer literate; Flexibility in work hours depending on store operational requirements
