Data Analyst, Supply

The Supply team manages Shiftsmart's partner (worker) supply to ensure enough high-quality partners are available to fill shifts for customers. The team ensures partners download the app, are prepared for their first shift, and have a positive onboarding and first shift experience. The Data Analyst will build and maintain core data tables and models across the partner (worker) success, marketplace, and supply teams to drive and increase fill rate and fulfillment quality. The role is based in New York City (HQ) with typically 3+ days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

Scale the Supply Model by expanding core DBT data tables that support decisions across the Partner (worker) organization; Investigate and diagnose data anomalies and unexpected changes in business performance end-to-end, tracing issues through the data pipeline to root causes; Build and maintain BigQuery analyses and core data tables for operational analytics, including zone-level health dashboards, partner funnel breakdowns, fill-rate trend detection, and cohort performance reporting; Own the maintenance, development, and expansion of core DBT data tables across the Supply team, and ensure recurring analyses and models remain accurate and reliable; Grow into developing predictive models to identify and address operational risks, including feature engineering, backtesting, model evaluation, and stakeholder communication; Partner with Supply, Marketplace, Partner Success, Product, and Engineering to translate business problems into data requirements and build reliable data solutions

Requirements

2-4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, quantitative operations, or a similar analytical role; Highly comfortable with SQL and complex queries; Comfortable with Python (pandas, notebooks) for analysis and modeling; Experience with DBT or ability to quickly learn it; Enjoys getting into the details of a dataset; Problem solver who can turn ambiguous questions into structured investigations; Clear communicator who can explain key takeaways to technical and non-technical teammates; High ownership and self-directed; Highly organized, with strong systems and process thinking
