Channel Dental Care is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive practice where no two days are exactly the same, you’ll work alongside great people and you’ll play an important part in creating a positive experience for every patient.
And there’s a pretty great perk too… you’ll have one RDO every fortnight!

Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the clinical team, supporting our dentists and making sure our patients receive exceptional care.; Your day will include:; Assisting dentists and clinicians during a variety of dental procedures; Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring everything is ready to go; Setting up and packing down rooms between patients; Preparing instruments, materials and equipment; Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment; Following strict infection control and sterilisation procedures; Supporting patients throughout their appointments and helping them feel comfortable; Providing a warm and friendly welcome to patients; Maintaining clean, organised and well-stocked clinical areas; Assisting with stock management and ordering when required; Supporting the wider practice team with day-to-day tasks; Working closely with clinicians and the wider team to keep the day running smoothly

Requirements

We're looking for someone who brings energy, reliability and a great attitude to work every day.; You’ll ideally be:; Friendly, approachable and confident with patients; Reliable and organised; A team player who enjoys working with others; Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment; Calm under pressure and able to juggle competing priorities; Someone who takes pride in their work; Keen to learn and develop their dental assisting skills; Passionate about providing great patient care; Hold a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or be willing to obtain one Previous dental assisting experience is highly regarded , but attitude is just as important.
