Derivatives Associate

Our client, an elite law firm in New York, is looking to hire a junior to mid-level Associate to join a top-tier team advising on complex structured securities offerings – both domestically and internationally. This is a rare chance to work with a powerhouse group that represents issuers, underwriters, placement agents, credit enhancers, investors, and collateral managers across a broad spectrum of structured finance transactions. This global team has extensive experience in the establishment of CLO/CDO vehicles and are extremely active in the recent resurgence of the CLO market, representing arrangers, asset managers, investors, financial institutions and counterparties. You’ll be part of a team known for its deep bench strength in: Negotiating and documenting sophisticated deals; Litigating and working out distressed structures; Advising on regulatory issues across credit, equity, rates, and commodities derivatives—including OTC/cleared swaps, futures, options, and bespoke transactions. The team supports clients throughout the lifecycle of structured products, from development and origination to syndication, trading, restructuring, and commutation.

Responsibilities

Advising on complex structured securities offerings domestically and internationally; negotiating and documenting sophisticated deals; litigating and working out distressed structures; advising on regulatory issues across credit, equity, rates, and commodities derivatives including OTC/cleared swaps, futures, options, and bespoke transactions; supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of structured products from development and origination to syndication, trading, restructuring, and commutation
