Digital Print Shop Operator (Evening Shift)

As the Digital Print Shop Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting up the finisher and inspection machines correctly to run jobs, maintain smooth operations to ensure quality labels are produced on time, and keep the press, finishing and inspection areas clear of waste. Responsibilities

Ensure smooth operation and timely production line pace; Collect and verify all materials stated on the job jacket to complete the next run; Review of job work instructions and tickets; Set up the finisher/inspection machine properly for the job including blades, cores, and copy position; General maintenance routines to ensure the finisher and inspection machine is running at optimal levels; Adjustment of computer software settings for press specifications and quality needs; Examination and quality checks of ink colors and color consistency in products

Requirements

Basic proficiency of English language; High school diploma or general education degree (GED); High attention to detail; Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, stand, climb, and bend; Ability to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp/clasp, and manipulate small items; Verbal and written communication skills; Multi-tasking and prioritization skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

2 – 5 years experience operating commercial print presses or finishers preferred; Experience with HP Digital printing or holding HP Certification Level I or II (Series 3 Web Certified) is beneficial
