Director of Engineering, Cloud Platform

Attentive is seeking a Director of Cloud Platform to lead the teams responsible for Attentive's cloud infrastructure, centralized data platforms, and database infrastructure. The role owns the technical direction and operational health of the foundation the company's products run on, while raising the bar for how infrastructure teams operate, execute, and serve the broader engineering organization. This is a deeply technical leadership role with broad impact.

Responsibilities

Set a clear technical strategy and roadmap across multiple teams; Raise the bar for technical quality, execution, and ownership; Hire, coach, and develop strong engineering managers and senior technical leaders; Build an organization that consistently delivers; Partner with Developer Experience teams to make infrastructure easy to provision, configure, and test; Enable engineers and AI agents to create reproducible environments; Raise operational standards across observability, incident response, service objectives, disaster recovery, and safe change management; Lead complex infrastructure and database migrations; Make AWS and data platform costs visible and actionable; Stay close to the technical details and guide consequential design decisions; Measure progress through outcomes such as faster environment setup, shorter feedback cycles, and stronger reliability; Own data centralization and storage (including Snowflake); Own cloud infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, networking, infrastructure-as-code); Own cloud optimization and measurable cost savings

Requirements

Experience leading a high-performing engineering organization; Ability to build strong managers, clear accountability, deep technical judgment, and consistent delivery
