Director of Finance - Task Force

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Finance to join our Task Force team in providing strategic financial leadership across a diverse portfolio of hotels nationwide. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, protecting hotel assets, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and Crescent standards. The ideal candidate brings strong operational finance expertise, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced hospitality environments. This position is remote eligible within the United States, with regular travel required. Candidates must reside near a major airport and be comfortable traveling as needed to support assigned properties.

Responsibilities

Providing strategic financial leadership across a diverse portfolio of hotels nationwide; Overseeing financial operations; Protecting hotel assets; Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and Crescent standards; Acting as Chief Business Officer to the general manager and EC Team; Evaluating the financial impact on business decisions; Notifying management of financial deviations and control weaknesses; Managing and communicating cash flow issues; Monitoring hotel revenues and expenses; Overseeing the capital planning process; Ensuring compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes; Coordinating completion of forecasts and budgets; Analyzing financial data and operations; Ensuring balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis; Establishing and auditing internal financial controls; Hiring professional staff and maintaining an inventory of qualified and promotable associates

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of related progressive experience in hotel Accounting or related field; A 4-year college degree with Accounting/Finance concentration and a minimum of 4 years of related progressive experience; A 2-year college degree and a minimum of 6 years of related progressive experience; Proficient in financial and accounting procedures; Fluency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking); Reside near a major airport; Comfortable traveling as needed
