District Coordinator

Khan Academy India is looking for divisional coordinators to join our growing Schools Team as a Divisional Coordinator consultant to support our programme with the government school system in Maharashtra. The consultant will be based in one of the ten districts of Maharashtra and responsible for implementation in partnership schools in the ten districts. In this role, you will be working with the Senior Program Lead and Project Lead and will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Khan Academy programme in the schools. Please Note: This is a 12-months contract role starting no later than 1st July, 2026.

Responsibilities

Support programme implementation across government schools in assigned districts; Deliver training to education officials, principals and teachers; Track progress and de-bottleneck challenges; Follow up on implementation by visiting schools and supporting teachers; Identify and replicate best practices; Build and maintain relationships with administration officials, principals and teachers; Conduct school visits and have regular touchpoints with teachers; Analyze qualitative feedback and share with the team; Provide any other support as needed

Requirements

3-5 yrs of relevant work experience; Fluent in Marathi (spoken and written); Strong collaborative mindset with ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders; Excellent ability to document information from multiple sources and present it in English and Marathi; Great communicator; Quick learner; Entrepreneurial mindset with high tolerance for ambiguity; Willing to roll up sleeves and help the team; Passionate about education; Comfortable working out of the districts listed and travelling to schools regularly
