Ecommerce Project Manager

We started in London and have since expanded operations to Melbourne, Sydney, Sofia, and Trivandrum, with 200+ team members serving 45+ international brands. We're looking for a full-time Project Manager to lead the delivery of new-build ecommerce projects — from discovery through to go-live — for clients across Australia's ecommerce industry. You'll use a variety of delivery methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Hybrid, Waterfall) to manage multiple development teams located internationally, driving clients' business goals and leading innovation across the region.

Responsibilities

Own delivery of new-build ecommerce projects end-to-end: discovery, requirements definition, build, testing, and go-live; Create project timelines, manage risks and dependencies, and secure commercial approvals across each phase; Plan and book project resources to deliver all delivery items in line with agreed release plans; Facilitate all project meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, and feedback; Manage offshore project delivery teams, ensuring collaboration and clear communication across time zones; Work with third parties on risks and dependencies affecting the build; Provide weekly project, financial, and schedule reporting to stakeholders; Deliver every project to budget and within agreed timelines, from kickoff through hypercare; Take ownership of all direct communication with the client and resolve escalations with autonomy; Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to build first-class customer relationships; Identify risks that threaten client satisfaction or renewal and execute mitigation plans; Work closely with Client Success team to identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts; Conduct regular reviews with clients on services delivered; Listen carefully to clients to understand their key business issues and translate them into delivery outcomes

Requirements

4+ years' experience as a Project Manager delivering ecommerce, digital commerce, or web platform new-build projects; Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce/Magento, SAP Commerce, or commercetools highly regarded; Proven experience managing new-build ecommerce projects end-to-end; Demonstrated experience running multiple concurrent client builds/roadmaps; Experience working within an agency, consultancy, or professional services model; Proven experience across Scrum, SAFe, Hybrid, and Waterfall; Experience running structured, milestone-driven delivery; Ability to translate client-prioritised items into deliverable sprint and milestone plans; Excellent communication skills with credibility to act as primary point of contact for AU clients; Demonstrated experience managing challenging stakeholders and resolving escalations autonomously; Experience facilitating discovery workshops and translating business requirements into user stories; Track record of building trust-based, long-term client relationships; Confidence presenting weekly status, financial, and schedule reporting; Experience managing offshore or distributed development teams; Experience with resource planning and booking against release plans; Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risks and dependencies; Experience building and coordinating cross-functional teams; Understanding of RAID log management and commercial approval processes; Experience owning delivery to budget and agreed timelines with accountability for margin and utilisation; Experience with time/effort reporting and billing accuracy; Exposure to Continual Service Improvement practices; Autonomous and comfortable holding ownership of escalations; Commercially minded; Consultative; Melbourne-based preferred, open to remote/interstate candidates; Comfortable operating in a scaling, multi-region agency environment

Nice to have

Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe Agilist/PM-PO, or CSM; Experience with ecommerce ecosystem components such as OMS, PIM, headless commerce, payment gateways, or ERP integrations; Prior agency-side PM experience
