EDM Library & Design Solution Architect

Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation software. This candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and will develop design methodologies to exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products. The role requires strong customer-facing communication skills, technical leadership potential, and liaison with the EBS product division.

Responsibilities

Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to develop design methodologies that exploit and expand use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products; Consult and present to customers on how the Siemens EDA Xpedition tool suite maximizes the performance of leading-edge technologies; Identify gaps in customer design flows and articulate possibilities to increase design capability and development efficiency to meet Time-To-Market goals; Liaise with the EBS product division on advanced development, customizations, development, and maintenance of CLS generated applications

Requirements

Strong knowledge in PCB HW Development Methodology; Strong knowledge in SW development; Strong knowledge in both EDM design & library methodology, tools, and design flow; Strong analytical, problem-solving, programming and troubleshooting skills; Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools; Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, VBScript); Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java); Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Self-motivated and able to work effectively; Strong communication skills for consulting and presenting to customers; Experience in design and data management; Ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures and databases; BS degree with strong engineering background

Nice to have

MS degree preferred; Potential to grow into a technical leadership position; Ability to guide new recruits in support of the overall System Practice
