Electrical Engineer

Our Electrical team is focused on the design of electrical power systems for industrial facilities – seed oil, specialty chemical, grain handling, and feed mills. We perform preconstruction estimating and design for green energy solutions (solar) for municipal and industrial clients as they grow their renewable energy portfolios. Analytical services for new and existing power systems include load flow studies, short circuit analysis, device coordination, arc flash risk assessment, harmonic analysis, and power factor correction.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality engineering services; Review project documents for quality and coordination; Identify and assess design options in the preliminary phase; Prepare calculations, edit specifications, and coordinate drawings; Communicate with clients/contractors regarding construction RFIs and review shop drawings; Write proposals and help estimate project fees; Perform construction phase site observations and prepare reports; Utilize design software with increasing efficiency; Contribute to preparation of high-quality design documents including calculations, drawings and specifications; Undertake increasingly complex design tasks with commitment to continuous learning; Support the development and success of peers and/or less experienced engineers

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; 3+ years of experience

Nice to have

PE (Professional Engineer) license
