Your contribution to something big

As an Embedded Software Developer in the field of automotive functional safety, you will contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded software for advanced steering angle sensor systems. Your work directly supports vehicle stability systems and helps ensure safe driving experiences for millions of people.

Know-how

- Strong proficiency in embedded C programming and microcontroller-based systems.
- Good understanding of automotive functional safety principles (ISO 26262).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and version control systems such as Git.
- Ideally, knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and communication protocols such as CAN.
- Experience with debugging and testing tools (e.g., Vector CANoe) is a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for automation is beneficial.

Languages

- Good command of English (written and spoken). German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Translate customer and system requirements into high-quality software requirements in alignment with the V-Model.; Design robust software architectures and detailed software modules using tools such as Enterprise Architect and PlantUML.; Develop and maintain MISRA-compliant embedded C code for automotive microcontrollers.; Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards throughout the software lifecycle.; Perform static code analysis (e.g., Astrée) to guarantee reliability and safety.; Develop and execute unit and integration tests using frameworks such as CANTATA.; Maintain requirements traceability using DOORS and Jira.; Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and product excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.; Experience in embedded software development, ideally within the automotive or safety-critical domain.; Practical experience working according to the V-Model, especially in requirements engineering and software architecture (left side activities).
