Engineer, Water Utilities

As an Intermediate or Senior Hydraulic Engineer in Aurecon’s Global Design Centre Manila, you will contribute to the design and delivery of hydraulic and water infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and delivery of hydraulic and water infrastructure projects across New Zealand; Build and calibrate hydraulic models for water and wastewater networks; Analyse transmission systems – rising mains, gravity mains, pump stations, and storage; Deliver modelling and design solutions for transmission pipelines, pump stations and utility networks; Integrate model outputs into concept and detailed design deliverables; Prepare technical reports and modelling summaries for a non-technical audience; Collaborate across disciplines to deliver constructible, sustainable solutions

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent); 4-6 years’ experience in hydraulic modelling and network design for water or wastewater utility projects across planning and design phases; Strong understanding of water networks, pipelines (pressurized and gravity systems), pump stations and system operations; Experience with InfoWorks ICM / WS Pro, DHI MIKE URBAN software; Experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS/QGIS, and model calibration; Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

Familiarity with New Zealand water utility standards for modelling and design (Watercare or equivalent)
