Executive Housekeeper

Motel One is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping for a new 222-key hotel preparing for opening, from inception. The role requires a very hands-on approach. Motel One is the founder and pioneer of the budget design concept, with more than 95 hotels in 13 countries.

Responsibilities

Oversee complete housekeeping operations for a 222-key hotel from pre-opening through full operational capacity; Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards aligned with brand guidelines and guest expectations; Recruit, train, and manage a housekeeping team; Establish quality assurance protocols and conduct regular inspections; Manage housekeeping budgets, including labour costs, supplies, and equipment procurement; Liaise with other departments (Front Office, Maintenance, Guest Services); Implement sustainable and environmentally responsible housekeeping practices; Develop staff scheduling and workload management systems; Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; Handle guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services; Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations; Lead the pre-opening setup, including staff induction, training programs, and operational readiness; Report to senior management on departmental performance, challenges, and recommendations
