Expeditor

As an Expeditor, you are responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area. You will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that they meet quality standards, and delivering them promptly to guests. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth operation in the kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Oversee the expediting process during meal periods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of dishes; Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage the timing and presentation of dishes according to the order tickets; Check each dish for quality, portioning, and presentation before it leaves the kitchen; Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas; Monitor the quality of food being prepared, ensuring it meets the club’s standards for taste, appearance, temperature and portion size; Address and resolve any issues with food quality or presentation promptly; Ensure all dishes are prepared according to special requests or dietary restrictions; Keep the expediting area organized and clean; Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas as needed; Manage the organization of order tickets and ensure they are processed efficiently; Maintain clear and effective communication with chefs, cooks, and servers; Assist in training new kitchen and service staff on expediting procedures and quality standards; Collaborate with the team to ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner; Interact professionally with members and guests; Support fellow employees and contribute to a positive team environment; Address and resolve member and guest complaints professionally; Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods; Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases; Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required; Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally; Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.

Nice to have

High school diploma or equivalent; A minimum of 1 year of experience as an expeditor or in a similar role; Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately; Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and presentation standards; Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
