Experienced Palliative Carer

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Palliative Carer to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to a client receiving palliative care in their own home. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is confident supporting clients and families through end-of-life care and understands the importance of dignity, comfort, compassion and respect.

Responsibilities

Providing compassionate personal care and assistance with daily activities; Supporting comfort and wellbeing; Monitoring and reporting changes in the client's condition; Supporting family members with a calm and reassuring approach; Following individualised care plans and clinical instructions; Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating with the wider care team; Providing respectful, dignified end-of-life care

Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent); Current National Police Clearance; Current First Aid and CPR; Current or willing to obtain Working With Children Card; Current or willing to obtain Manual handling certificate; Australian working rights; Current Australian drivers licence and reliable car; Comprehensive car insurance; Smart mobile phone; Residing in Western Australia is a requirement

Nice to have

Current or willingness to obtain medication qualification; Understanding of the local geographical area; Previous caring experience; Weekday availability
