Finance Automation Engineer

You'll play a key role in transforming how Finance operates across Pepperstone. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce operational risk and support our continued growth. You'll help drive our transition from bespoke processes towards enterprise-grade automation frameworks, leveraging low-code platforms, AI capabilities and data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to analyse operational processes and identify opportunities to streamline, optimise and automate workflows; Design and configure automation solutions using low-code and enterprise platforms, including workflows, business rules, alerts, dashboards and reporting; Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while acting as the bridge between business and technical teams; Support data analysis, quality improvement and process optimisation initiatives to drive better business outcomes; Contribute to solution delivery through testing, documentation, training, stakeholder engagement and ongoing production support

Requirements

Experience delivering technology, automation or transformation initiatives within financial services, fintech or similarly complex environments; Strong understanding of Finance Operations, including reconciliations, invoicing, journals, pricing or related financial processes; Strong SQL and Excel skills with ability to turn data insights into practical solutions; Enjoy solving complex problems, improving processes and translating business needs into scalable technology outcomes

Nice to have

Experience with low-code platforms such as Appian, Microsoft Power Platform or similar automation technologies; Exposure to modern data tools; Exposure to AI-enabled process automation
