Finance Director

I am looking for a Finance Director for a highly entrepreneurial, emerging business that is 'seizing the moment' in these unprecedented times to launch a characterful, foodie, boutique hotel concept. The business needs an experienced, hands on yet forward thinking FD who can get behind managing the detail and financial structure of the business. You will take full ownership for the financial and accounting strategy, prepare budgets and longer term plans, ensure company financial systems are robust and compliant, and support future business growth.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership for the financial and accounting strategy; prepare budgets and longer-term plans; ensure company financial systems are robust, compliant and support future business growth; take ultimate responsibility for company cash flow forecast; work closely with the owner; prepare and issue monthly management accounts; provide quality commercial analysis; be instrumental in margin improvements across all areas; support the founder with capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, acquisitions as appropriate; ensure all accounting policies comply with relevant accounting and legal requirements and all statutory obligations are fully met

Requirements

Experienced, hands-on yet forward-thinking FD; ability to be nimble and proactive; comfortable embracing day-to-day finance operations and strategic work; willing to flex and adapt as the business grows; able to get to SW London/Surrey twice a week

Nice to have

Experience in hotels; gastros; quality dining; food service
