Finance Executive - GL

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data; Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and monthly management account; Conduct analysis of financial data in management account to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and support; Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries; Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments; Provide guidance and accounting advice to team members whenever necessary; Identify opportunities to improve GL processes and drive efficiency through automation and AI tools

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Proven work experience in a GL accountant or general accounting role, preferably in shared services and audit; Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes; Adept at navigating ERP systems and specialized accounting platforms, with Oracle NetSuite expertise considered a significant asset; Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency

Nice to have

ACCA (part-qualified or pursuing) is a plus; Experience supporting multi-market or regional finance operations
