Finance Systems Analyst

Halter is seeking a Finance Systems Analyst based in Auckland, reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Systems. The role supports the day-to-day administration of finance systems and connected apps, contributes to continuous optimisation, and helps build smarter, more efficient processes across the business. The role works alongside finance, operations and tech teams to identify inefficiencies, build workflows and use AI tools to automate manual processes. Halter is office first: working from the office is the default, with flexibility when needed.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day administration of finance systems and connected apps; Support user access, configurations, workflows, saved searches, custom records and integrations with connected apps; Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies in ERP workflows and connected systems and collaborate on building solutions; Use AI tools to automate tasks, surface insights and reduce manual workload; Ensure inventory valuation, GL mappings and reporting outputs stay accurate and support system-driven financial analysis; Work with finance, supply chain and tech teams to translate business needs into system solutions; Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of system configurations, workflows and process changes, supporting internal controls

Requirements

Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system; Chartered Accountant working towards CA, or a degree in Accounting or Finance; Experience with AI tools or genuine motivation to develop AI skills; Builder mindset: spots inefficiencies, proposes solutions and takes ownership; 1-2 years into career and comfortable learning quickly
