Finance & Transformation Lead

A well-established international charity is seeking an experienced Interim Finance & Transformation Lead to oversee financial control, statutory reporting and finance transformation during an exciting period of organisational change. This is a senior leadership role combining hands-on financial accounting with the opportunity to drive process improvements, strengthen controls and lead a programme of finance transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead statutory accounts preparation, external audit and month-end/year-end reporting; Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance and strong governance; Oversee balance sheet management, treasury, tax, fund accounting and reconciliations; Lead, develop and support the financial accounting team; Deliver finance transformation projects, including improvements to systems, processes and reporting; Provide financial insight and technical advice to senior stakeholders; Support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the finance function

Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent); Significant post-qualified experience in financial accounting and financial control; Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and charity accounting; Experience managing and developing finance teams; Proven track record of leading finance transformation or process improvement projects; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery; Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector
