Financial Controls Associate

Our client is a financial and real estate services company specializing in equities, investment banking, and fixed income products. The Financial Controls Associate will be responsible for the integrity of financial outputs across automated and AI-enabled processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain ownership of key reconciliations of finance functions;Lead variance analysis and root-cause investigations;Review and approve system outputs, automation results, and AI-assisted calculations to ensure accuracy and completeness;Execute and document financial controls in line with internal control frameworks;Track exceptions, manage remediation activity, and escalate issues as necessary;Prepare walkthrough materials, control evidence, and support documentation for internal and external audit engagements;Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulatory stakeholders;Ensure the adoption of automation and AI aligns with firmwide control frameworks and data integrity standards

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting;4-6 years of accounting and or financial controls experience;Strong working knowledge of financial accounting;Experience executing financial controls, managing reconciliations, and preparing audit evidence;Experience reviewing automated and AI-generated financial outputs

Nice to have

Knowledge of Oracle, Essbase, Tableau, Workiva Wdesk, or Kyriba platforms preferred
