1st Shift: 7:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday, with potential for overtime

Forklift Operators perform float loading activities to support the distribution of materials to customers and branch locations. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Lifting Capacity – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc.
- Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment.
- Noise Tolerance – High noise levels.

Responsibilities

Perform float loading activities to optimize multiple loads for delivery coordination.; Perform material handling and machine/equipment operation duties in a safe and efficient manner to fulfill customer orders and business requirements.; Ensure machine and equipment is operating properly.; Complete orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage.; Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.; Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.; Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.; Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.; Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.; Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.; High school diploma or GED required.; A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.; Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.; Education – High school diploma or equivalent.; Experience – Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.; Pace – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.; Communication – Effective communication abilities.; Physical Stamina – Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.; Attention to Detail – Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly.; Organizational Skills – Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
