Garde Manger/Cold Food Cook

The Garde Manger/Cold Food Cook is responsible for preparing, assembling, and presenting a variety of cold dishes and appetizers while maintaining the highest standards of quality, freshness, sanitation, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, canapés, charcuterie, and other cold dishes; Prepare and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards; Prepare dressings, sauces, pâtés, terrines, and other cold preparations; Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked garde manger station; Assist with buffet, banquet, and special-event setups; Follow proper food storage, labeling, and temperature-control procedures; Maintain strict food-safety and sanitation standards; Work closely with other kitchen stations to ensure timely and consistent service; Assist with daily prep and other culinary duties as assigned

Requirements

Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic food preparation; Excellent attention to detail and food presentation; Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen; Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills

Nice to have

Previous garde manger, line cook, or culinary experience preferred; Culinary education or training is a plus
