General Ledger Accountant

Scopely is looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our expanding Accounting Finance Team in Barcelona, working on a hybrid basis 3 days a week from the hub. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function while contributing to continuous improvement across all departmental processes.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies; Record general ledger entries in compliance with local and group accounting policies; Assist with the month-end close and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting; Post and reconcile intercompany transactions; Maintain the fixed assets register, including asset postings and monthly depreciation; Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team on reconciliations and discrepancy resolution; Provide support during external and internal audits; Partner with cross-functional teams to support business units with financial and accounting insights; Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting; Prior experience in international environments, preferably across multiple entities; Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools; Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities; A team-oriented mindset with a focus on shared goals; Experience working with ERP systems

Oracle ERP experience; Background in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment; Experience working in a shared service center or centralized accounting function
