Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects; making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience following the Mr. Handyman Way; encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys; meeting revenue targets by finding additional ways to be of service; invoicing appropriately, sourcing materials, and collecting payment; ensuring work is done correctly the first time; self-managing when alone; providing excellent customer service while asking for reviews and collecting payments; documenting the job following the Mr. Handyman Way; wearing proper PPE and booties to protect customer’s home

Requirements

Live within the area; 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman; 10+ years of demonstratable experience; own your own tools; be insurable for driving our vehicle; complete a background and driving record check; able to lift 50 pounds independently; able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods of time; professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; strong proficiency in at least three of: carpentry work, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, painting inside and out, drywall work minor and major repairs, general plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, floor installation and refurbishing
