Handyman / Remodeler

Responsibilities

Completing maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, project length ranging from two hours to two days; Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about scope of work and costs; Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience and following the Mr. Handyman Way; Encouraging customers to complete satisfaction surveys; Meeting revenue targets by finding additional ways to be of service; Invoicing appropriately, sourcing materials, and collecting payment; Ensuring work is done correctly the first time

Requirements

At least 8 years of paid, professional home repair and maintenance experience; Experience with carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing; Not afraid to take on new types of work; Must have own tools; Follow the Mr. Handyman Way; Live within the area; Be insurable for driving company vehicle; Willing to undergo background check and drug test; Able to lift 50 pounds independently; Able to safely work at heights and work overhead for extended periods; Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle; Strong proficiency in at least three of: Carpentry work, Bathroom improvements, Kitchen improvements, Painting inside and out, Drywall work minor and major repairs, General plumbing and electrical where allowed by law, Floor installation and refurbishing, Familiar with building codes; Self-manage; Comfortable working alone; Willing to invoice and collect payments; Willing to ask customers to rate the job; Comfortable using an iPad; Good written and note-taking skills; Available for full-time career; Willing to wear booties and show respect for customers' homes
