Head of Finance

Harmonic has partnered with a culture-driven marketing agency in their search for an Head of Finance to join their leadership team in New York City. The business services entertainment + CPG clients, delivering culturally relevant campaigns for some of the world's most recognizable brands. With significant growth across both divisions, the agency is entering an exciting stage of scale, with ambitious plans for expansion. This role will report directly to the CEO and oversee all finance and accounting operations for the agency. The Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure operational efficiency, and deliver actionable insights to support both day-to-day operations and long-term planning.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all finance and accounting functions, including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and audits; Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic financial planning and decision-making; Deliver insights on client profitability, project margins, and growth opportunities; Build scalable systems and processes to improve reporting, efficiency, and compliance; Oversee regulatory, tax, and audit requirements in collaboration with external partners; Lead, mentor, and grow the internal finance team; Support commercial contract negotiations and client financial terms; Present financial results and strategy updates to the CEO, board, and investors.

Requirements

Progressive finance leadership, ideally within marketing, advertising, or professional services; Strong experience with project-based financial models and client profitability analysis; Proven success building scalable processes and managing high-growth organizations; Excellent communicator, with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business recommendations; Solid knowledge of US GAAP.

Nice to have

CPA and/or MBA; Background in high-growth, creative businesses.
