Head of Finance - Transactional Services and Systems

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Local Authority for a Head of Finance – Transactional Services and Systems, leading the strategic direction of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Income functions, with 4 direct reports and oversight of a wider team of 100.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy and delivery of P2P and Income systems, processes, compliance and reporting; Drive finance digital transformation, implementing robust and future-proofed finance technology solutions; Maximise income and debt collection while ensuring cost-effective supplier payment; Build strong relationships with senior leaders, Members and external partners; Lead and develop a high-performing finance team

Requirements

Comprehensive experience implementing and managing complex financial systems in a public sector or local government setting; Proven senior leadership track record, building high-performing teams; Strong stakeholder management and strategic financial decision-making experience
