Head of Platform Strategy

We are seeking a highly strategic, experienced, and dynamic Platform Strategy Head to lead our platform strategy efforts and drive business growth in the thriving digital landscape. This pivotal role will serve as the foremost expert on key digital platforms e.g. RED, Douyin, Tencent, Ali and Weibo etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge platform strategies, driving the Social-to-EC- Platform Ecosystem. You will foster deep collaboration with our Media Planning and delivery team, and significantly enhancing our service offerings in this critical market. This role requires a visionary leader who can navigate complex platform dynamics, understands hands-on platform operations and translate insights into tangible business growth.

Responsibilities

Platform Ecosystem, Market Intelligence and Trend Insights; Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge platform strategies across key digital ecosystems: RED, Douyin, Tencent, Ali and Weibo; Continuously monitor the platform trends, analyze algorithm updates, content trends, ad. product changes, and community norms across these platforms to ensure strategy effectiveness; Conduct deep analysis on platform-specific use cases; Strategy Output for Client Service Teams; Act as the ‘go to’ expert on the evolving dynamics of these platforms for internal client service and delivery teams, and clients; Work alongside client service teams to understand client briefs, challenges, and campaign objectives and develop platform-specific marketing playbooks; Co-create integrated strategy (based on insights and data) decks with client team and Media Delivery team, defining channels roles, content rhythm, seeding frameworks, and performance expectations per platform; Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as a trusted advisor for their digital presence and growth; Business Expansion & Service Growth; Drive the expansion of our end-to -end platform services to new clients and foster deep engagements with existing accounts; Monitor the competitive landscape and market trends in the platform ecosystem to identify opportunities for service innovation, differentiation, and new revenue streams

Requirements

Minimum of 10-12 years deep experience in platform knowledge and planning related areas with a proven track record of developing and executing high-impact digital strategies on RED, Douyin, Tencent, Ali and Weibo platforms for clients, ideally with platform operations experience; Structured thinking and storytelling capabilities based on consumer and data insights; Minimum 5 years’ experience in team management positions, with strong leadership and influencing capabilities; Great cross-team collaboration ability; Client-facing experience, can present complex strategies in a clear and confident manner; Proactive, passion for innovation and exploration of new things
