Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities. Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Available shift: Primarily Saturday and Sunday 7am-3:30pm. Position summary: This position performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others. Responsibilities

Performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas; Performs assigned cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures; Plans completion of cleaning tasks daily; Empties hampers and transports soiled linen; Empties trash containers and removes all trash; Empties all medical waste containers, including sharps; Inventories, restocks and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap; Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment, notifies personnel of needed repairs, and logs equipment out and in; May perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing, and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings; Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors and meets or exceeds customer service satisfaction goals

Requirements

Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision; Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions; Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally; Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals; Ability to fill out chemical identification stickers; Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (employment, criminal and education); For Behavioral Health clinical settings serving children at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, BUMG, BUMCT or BUMCS: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintained for duration of employment, and signed Arizona Criminal History Affidavit upon hire; For Olive Branch Senior Center: Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintained for duration of employment
